A prolific author and scientist. A poet and painter. A social worker and psychologist. A spiritualist and comedian. A philosopher, feminist, and businessperson. A reparationist and reconstructionist. A Harley and Vespa rider. A daredevil and a saint. Irreverent and spiritual; sectarian and secular. In love and disdain with all of you...
The times Shel Shamus had guns pulled on him, he never backed down. He never gave up his money or himself in any way. He either stood there and continued on--or just turned and walked away. Although, when he was able, he offered to be charitable to his attacker if and when he was able to.
Shel Shamus, a pseudonym, is a person who was raised from early childhood in very difficult circumstances: thus acquiring abject acceptance, inhuman courage, but also with unending love and service for others and the planet. Acceptance, Courage, Love: Selflessness that usually takes a decade or so to learn. As if one were training in some type of extremely advanced spirituality. Shel has that training. And did so almost completely by age 12.
By 22 he was already experiencing and living levels inhumanly difficult and strong, though he was still in a chrysalis.
Like start a business and buy a beautiful house living out of his car with no credit or money or help from family or anyone. He took the lessons of his life, integrated them into his being, like touching the nose of a rabid life taming it, like he did on occasion with rabid dogs.
At this point, he is capable of almost anything human, as he enters into life in full. And can still take inhuman levels of heat--and not react to you: fight you, fear you, give in, give up, or give out; and still love and fight for you--even reach out to any Judas--in love. He can also create the most beautiful art in life and business. He has been a social worker and counselor. But he is also a painter, motorcycle rider, community creator and facilitator, poet, author, spiritualist, numerologist, comedian, and scientist.
It is all in these books available for you to become the same. As Shel has proved them, if hidden. They are generally short, witty, entertaining, very reachable by almost everyone; while "educational (like pixie dust)." They go from flooding to ferocious (loving to burning); from high intellectualism to comedic parlance (enlightening to entertaining). And they really tell you how to be a superman or a superwoman. From the jungle to the office to the home.
His writing is his offering to you--all of you--even those who murder him. They are his love pouring out before its too late. His baby. His legacy. To you.
Shel's books are reflective of a huge heart of steel and gold. Anyone who can do what is in them can do just about anything. From being stranded in a third world country, robbed, penniless (and white), like he was for a while--to beating demons en mass--at every turn--learning to fight them, and, yet, for them too--en masse--all the way to the river. Like he has been doing. And losing for winning. And winning for losing.
Or being in relationship, romantic, friendship, acquaintanceship, etc... in full integrity--full selflessness--in full resilience--in full fortitude--in full love and joy. His incredible strengths--THAT WE ALL HAVE!
To Shel, Shel means messenger. Shamus means servant of light.
