Jay C. Martin

Dr. Jay C. Martin is a Michigan native and former Great Lakes mariner best known for his research in maritime history and archaeology, which has resulted in the preservation of historic ships and maritime sites, museum exhibits, and an extensive list of publications. He is Professor of History at Central Michigan University where he teaches Public History, Museum Studies, Military History, and Cultural Resource Management. He is Director of the Museum of Cultural and Natural History and the Museum Studies Program at Central Michigan University.
