George McKim

Pushcart nominated poet George McKim was born in 1953 in Wilmington, N.C. He studied Fine Art Painting and received a BFA from VCU and an MFA from ECU and attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. His artwork has been exhibited in galleries and museums in the Southest region in various group exhibitions. At the age of 56, George began writing poetry. His poetry has been published and e-published or is forth-coming in Diagram, The Found Poetry Review, Otoliths, Shampoo, elimae, GlitterMob, Dear Sir, Ditch, Cricket Online Review, Blaze Vox, Poets and Artists Magazine, and other places. His first chapbook "Found & Lost" was published by Silver Birch Press in 2015 and a poem from that book was nominated for the Pushcart Prize. A second chapbook of poetry titled "Ghost Apparatus" will be published by ELJ Publications in September 2017.
