Laurel MacQuarrie

Laurel MacQuarrie is a former special-needs teacher, foster mother, mother, and step-mother whose heart has a special place for young children. She majored in psychology and used that training, intuitive expertise, and big heart to break through some of the toughest mental walls. She creates her own illustrations out of clay, paper, and odd finds at garage sales to help capture a young child's imagination. She adores telling a story both visually and through her old-styled rhyming prose.
