I started writing poetry after retiring from a long career in the graphic design field. Creating a poetry page on Facebook allowed me to house my poems and the feedback was overwhelming. Being of a quiet nature it's been difficult to verbalize my deepest feelings so I decided to join a world wide poetry site consisting of many contests and to my surprise and amazement, my poems were winning awards.

My first book "Poems of the Soul" is a collection of 60 award winning poems that I wish to share with the world. I assure you, it's easy reading and understandable with a variety of subjects to please anyone who enjoys poetry.

My second book will be a children's story about a serious epidemic throughout the world, "bullying". I created a fairy tale for both children and adults that hopefully will bring understanding and light into their lives. References to professional organizations will be listed in the back of the book.

The key ingredient to winning the fight against bullying is not being afraid to speak up.
