Tracy Burton

Tracy has enjoyed putting pen to paper since she was a child; however, fifteen years of media and public relations roles plus a busy home life meant putting her writing ambitions on hold for too many years.

Tracy has had several short stories published, including in anthologies, teenage romance magazines and (one) in Take a Break. Her first novel Run Free is set in Newport during the sweltering summer of 1976.

She is currently working on a sequel which catches up with several of the main characters five years later, this time in Cornwall, and a screenplay, also set in Cornwall.

Tracy's other passion is hiking and she regularly leads hikes in Central Algarve, where she now lives with her partner, outdoor writer Harri Garrod Roberts. She aims to continue backpacking as long as possible, although her rucksack is smaller these days and the loathed two-man tent hasn't been used for a fair few years. Incidentally, its final trip (to the bins) was overshadowed by the Iberian power outage.
