San Antonio native Sheila Sánchez Hatch has published work for adults and children in a number of literary magazines and anthologies, including Daughters of the Fifth Sun: A Collection of Latina Fiction and Poetry (Riverhead), ˇFloricanto Sí! A Collection of Latina Poetry (Penguin), Is This Forever or What? Poems and Paintings from Texas (Greenwillow), and Borderlands: Texas Poetry Review. She is a winner of the San Antonio Express-News Children's Story Contest and a two time winner of the city's Poetry on the Move Poetry Contest. Two of her books, Strong Box Heart and Guadalupe and the Kaleidoscopic Screamer, were published by Wings Press. She currently teaches English for the Alamo College District.
