I was born in the small southern Oregon town of Grants Pass. Raised by my grandparents, I was exposed to drawing, painting, music, sports and just about every kind of creative outlet except writing. I did horribly in school, especially in English, but a couple decades later I discovered I could tell vivid stories and do it quite well.

Around 1999 I started my own production company specializing in marketing, corporate, industrial and commercial films, focusing on directing, producing and script writing. From 1999 to now, I've produced thousands of videos for hundreds of clients all over the U.S.

In the Summer of 2009, my wife came to me with a unique idea for a movie or book. It was because of this idea I began writing book I in the First Life Fantasy Series.

I approached the First Life Series with a couple of goals in mind. First, I wanted this to be an epic story with a vast scope, containing all the elements that should exist in an epic fantasy- vivid storytelling, a protagonist you love, and a antagonist you love to hate. Secondly, the mainstream fantasy genre is rife with adult themes such as vulgar language, sexuality and gratuitous violence. I’ve endeavored to write a series that has everything a fantasy reader loves in the genre, but is safe for readers of all ages. Parents can sit down with their children and not have to worry about exposing them to imagery or morals that are contrary to their beliefs.

It was slow going at first, traversing the unfamiliar landscape of writing a manuscript, but after a few weeks of trial and error, the story began dripping from my fingertips. I decided to write the first two books before I released Volume I, The Princes Of Panajin, in the Summer of 2015 and quickly followed it with the release of Volume II, Sign Of The Guardian, December 2015. I'm currently writing Volume III and have a tentative release date of December 2016.

I currently live in the foothills outside Sacramento, California. I'm married to the love of my life and have five amazing children.
