Jonathan Heilig

Jonathan Heilig is an American author and illustrator from Boston, Massachusetts. He spent many years working and studying in New York City, sampling careers in culinary arts, dog training, mental health, and law enforcement before finally realizing his dream of becoming an author.

With a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, Jonathan left the United States to teach English in Hong Kong, mainland China, and Turkey. His stories and illustrations have reached thousands of students all over the world, as well as young readers in hospitals, libraries, and schools across America.

Jonathan currently lives in Istanbul with his wife Ipek and daughter Zelda, who often collaborate with him on creative projects.
