Matt Johnson

Corporate storyteller, Pentagon policymaker, mathematician, former frontman of a band, and author. Matt's road through life is certainly winding, but that's actually his greatest asset. Because as he navigated each phase of his life, he was able to refine one core skill: The ability to tell stories that move people.

Matt first did this in a book called American Hearts, which is a collection of untold tales constructed to help us tangibly understand the American Spirit. His second book, Work Songs, is based on the idea that for as long as we've had language, we've had music for the work we do. But modern work has no song, and that's why Matt wrote a collection of stories about work that we must not forget. Stories that could be our songs.
