Alledria Hurt

What to say? What to say? Well, I could say Alledria Hurt was born in a small town in Pennsylvania that even some people from PA don't know exists. She grew up in several German towns because her Father was a military man, not famous but not undistinguished. She spent a great deal of her childhood traveling in books. No doubt the primary reason she decided to start creating worlds of her own.

She started college for medicine. (The idea of Dr. Hurt still amuses her.) Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your bent, she transferred to the English department after the sting of failure in first year sciences. Throughout her college career, she wrote, but never did so seriously. After all, she was a scholar, not a wordsmith. Or so she thought.

A few years later (2005 if you're keeping score), she participated in NaNoWriMo for the first time and, as some say, she caught the bug. The desire to write began to grow and would eventually manifest completely in her short story collection "Objects: Stories of Things" in 2014. Since then, she has published three novels and one long short story, "October Sky," with much more on the horizon. Her primary genres are Dark Fantasy and Horror though she occasionally wanders into Epic Fantasy and even Science Fiction.
