Gary Fry

Gary Fry was born in Bellaire, Ohio and grew up in the Ohio Valley. He served in the United States Air Force and graduated from The Ohio State University, before embarking on management careers in transportation and production. He is currently retired but continues to work as a management trainer/consultant with Anheuser-Busch. Gary has always had an interest in telling his stories about Doug in one way or another. Doug’s Story is Gary’s composite collection of these heartwarming, hopeful and sometimes hilarious tales. Gary currently lives in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife Kathleen and the star of this story, Doug. Doug enjoys the bonus gift of having both his sisters, Jennifer and Jill, close by.

Doug continues to keep life eventful at Publix grocery- He has received 8 customer appreciation awards in the last three months (May 2016). He is playing basketball and baseball in a league and helping Manager David Berg coach the Jacksonville Suns. Somehow Doug tore his ACL and meniscus and will be having a procedure on June 16. Doug continues to travel the world having been to Ireland twice and adding three more cruises to his resume.
