Hal Taylor

Hal Taylor has been a graphic artist for over 30 years, spending much of the last ten researching, writing, and illustrating history books.

Hal began his career as a typographer and type designer, developing his own fonts which are available on line. He has also taught typography at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

Always considering lettering as a form of illustration, it was a logical transition to try this more expansive form of artwork, which has resulted in a unique blend of well-researched history and illustration.

Since the release of his first book, The Illustrated Delaware River, Hal has written four additional award-winning books, all with a focus on history.
