Mike Dowd

Mike Dowd has been the PGA General Manager/COO and Head Golf Professional at Oakdale Golf & Country Club in Oakdale, California since 2001. He's won the NCPGA's Bill Strausbaugh Award, Merchandiser of the year award, and has been nominated for Teacher of the Year multiple times. He served three terms on the NCPGA's Board of Directors, chairing the Committees for the Growth of the Game and Communications. He has introduced thousands of people to the game of golf since turning professional in 1990 and has coached dozens of collegiate and professional athletes.

Mike currently lives in Turlock, California with his wife and daughters. In Turlock he is the past Chairman of the City of Turlock's Parks & Recreation Commission and served on the Turlock Community Theatre Board of Directors. In his spare time (what's that?) he enjoys playing golf and fishing with his girls, writing, music, and following the foibles of the Sacramento Kings, the San Francisco 49ers, and, of course, the PGA Tour (Sorry, no LIV).
