Ricia Anne Chansky is Professor of Literature at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez. She is the co-editor of the scholarly journal, a/b: Auto/Biography Studies, and editor of the Routledge Auto/Biography Studies book series. She is a Voice of Witness Fellow and is currently directing a large-scale public humanities project, Mi María: Puerto Rico after the Hurricane, that uses oral history and other biographical methodologies—contextualized in critical disaster studies, environmental humanities, and auto/biography studies—to study the impact of Hurricane María on the people of Puerto Rico.
