Miki Bennett here and I’m so glad you’ve stopped by.

I’m a multi-passionate woman who loves delving into all types of creativity. I’m the author of three novel series: "The Florida Keys Novels", "Camping in High Heel" series and "The Nauterian Novels". I’m also an artist who loves designing abstract art inspired from the stories in my novels.

My #1 “Happy Place” is the beach! I’m so blessed to live on the coast in the beautiful historic city of Charleston, South Carolina. The beach isn’t too far away so I go as often as I can to walk in the surf and feel the sand between my toes – pure relaxation for me.

I’ve had a creative spark from the day I was born. I’ve loved making things since I was a little girl. If there was something I wanted to learn, you could find me with a book teaching myself everything from crochet to how to play a keyboard. I was always discovering something new and still am except Google and YouTube are my teachers.

The gift of creativity has helped me deal with some major life issues such as cancer and two rare medical conditions. Writing and making acrylic or alcohol ink art pieces are tools that take me away from real life every now and then. I have used my life experiences in my novels and art in hopes of sharing with you ways that help you escape for a little while from the real world.

I’m super lucky that I have a wonderful husband, Jeff, who puts up with my crazy ideas and lets me talk out my story lines and give him detailed descriptions of my latest art project. He is my rock! I also have my little dog, Emma, who gives me encouragement through doggie kisses and snuggles.

I’m so excited you are here and hope you enjoy my novels. My goal is to give you a mini vacation through a story. We can all use an extra bit of happiness in our lives!
