Joyce Knock

Joyce Knock (1940-present) was born, raised and educated in Iowa. Early years spent as a Peace Corps volunteer in India. Retired from a career in education at the middle school, high school and college level. In retirement authored "I am NOT dumb and I am NOT a stinky butt!"...a children's fiction book addressing the issue of name calling. In 2016 Joyce read the book to over 2000 K-2nd students and donated 640 books to students, counselors and teachers in the schools where the book was read. Recently published "I am kinda shy and quiet. Is something wrong with me?"...a children's book encouraging children to be themselves and to be all that they can be! ALL profits from the sale of the books help fund the Levi Knock "pay it forward" Foundation, a 401c non-profit organization. The FOUNDATION was created by the author in memory of the author's 15 year old grandson, Levi, who was being raised by the author and her husband. The FOUNDATION's mission is to provide scholarships for children and young teens to enrich their lives in the arts and sciences.
