Cee Tee Jackson

READER'S HOUSE (London's Literary Gateway) - 29/9/2025:

Colin Jackson (Cee Tee) writes with warmth, wit, and a keen eye for the quirks of everyday life.

... his voice remains unmistakably his own—light-hearted, candid, and deeply human.

... a body of work that blends memoir, humour, and a kind of unpretentious honesty that immediately draws readers in.

Colin has a gift for finding comedy in the ordinary and even in the unexpected gravity of life’s turning points. His books are rooted in lived experience, never forced, and always underpinned by an instinctive optimism.

Cee Tee (Colin) retired in August 2024 from the Petcare business he set up following redundancy from the banking industry, eighteen years prior. Inspired by his work with animals, principally dogs, he published his first book, 'Damp Dogs & Rabbit Wee' in the summer of 2015.

Encouraged by the feedback, his second book (another short one) focused on the beach and street dogs of Goa, India. His third book was prompted by surviving an idiopathic sudden cardiac arrest. As the title may suggest, and in line with his previous efforts, 'No Laughing Matter ... a short tale of death & how to survive it,' is intended as a fun read. Yes - really!

His most recent book, published on 4th July 2025, is a humorous recollection of growing from child to young adult in the 1960s & 1970s. 'A Space Hopper Killed My Hamster ... amusing tales of growing up in the '60s & '70s' pretty much does as it suggests on the cover.

Cee Tee is presently (July 2025) working on a light-hearted fantasy adventure and has a couple of other ideas to explore. Progress is slow though, for retirement has led him to discover the wonders of pickleball! Having competed in the past at football (soccer), athletics (running) baseball and tennis, the lure of competitive sport is strong and he hopes to complete his Pickleball Club Coach certification this winter.

Married to Diane for forty-three years, Cee Tee lives in Houston (Scotland) and has two adult sons ... and two rescued feral cats.

Oh my goodness, what's not to love about this book? .....

.... The writing is engaging, real, articulate ... in a word--BRILLIANT! My kindle's pages are marked all over with passages that had me in stitches. Mr. Jackson could surely make any profession or commonplace activity sound far more entertaining than it really is, but when the spirited cast includes these special dogs (and one alarming hamster in particular), it's even better.

Since this is a real life story, I don't know how we wrangle a sequel, but I certainly want to read more from this author!

A witty and affectionate memoir of the author's childhood and teenage years in the late 60's and 70's. I laughed out loud several times.
