Gary Dop--poet, playwright, professor, and performer--was born in Fort Campbell, KY (1977), but as would fit his upbringing, he never lived there. Over his first twenty years, Dop, the son of an enlisted soldier, lived in twenty different homes, stretching from Germany to Nebraska. Dop received his MFA from the University of Nebraska in 2007, and he is currently an English professor at Randolph College in Virginia. Dop's work regularly appears in journals throughout the country (including New Letters, Prairie Schooner, Agni, Blackbird, Sugar House Review, and others) and he has been recognized with a special mention in the Pushcart Prize Anthology and with the 2013 Great Plains Emerging Writer Prize.
