Serena King

Serena King is a multi-talented, entrepreneurial, award-winning force to be reckoned with. Within 3 years of graduating from college; Ms. King has successfully leveraged her communication skills into that of an author, mentor and inspirational speaker. Dedicated, passionate, and focused, Serena was able to pursue these endeavors all while working full time as an Account Manager.

Serena has published content for Yahoo as a 2013 contributor, managed and created content for Tuo-be blog, provided journalistic coverage for the National Association for Black Accountants Conference 2009 (EWS & Associates) and was a staff writer for The Panther Newsletter (including a story about then upcoming artist Genesis; who recently signed with SONY/ATV | EMI Music Publishing).

In addition to Legit, she has a couple other forms of literature in the makings including a memoir. Serena lives and works in Georgia but reigns from St. Louis Missouri, best known for the Cardinals baseball team and the monumental arch. Although the city is one filled with history; Kings’ Life was surrounded by adversity.

Serena and her sisters succumbed to foster care at a young age, but that never stopped her from pursuing her dreams and passions. You will learn how this woman overcame adversity when all the probabilities seemed to be against her. A mixture of life experiences, faith and purpose also lead to Serena’s self-love campaign which she holds dear to her heart; knowing it is something that both men and women need. As a mentor, Serena advises young people on overcoming fear and pressing forward despite their current circumstances. Her transparency makes her wildly relatable. Serena’s passionate aura and go-getter attitude ignites drive in others.
