Mr David Atkinson

David was born in Yorkshire in the mid-60's where he developed a passion for racing, music, cricket and fine landscapes.

He moved to London after graduating, primarily to see more of the bands he loved, whilst harbouring a quiet ambition to be a heavy-metal lead guitarist... Cursed with no musical ability whatsoever, he instead pursued a half-hearted career in the Civil Service.

David now lives in Hertfordshire with his wife and two daughters, where he is a serial blogger, music reviewer, rambler and enthusiastic amateur photographer.

'Mug Punting - Short Tales about Long Odds' was published in 2012.

The follow up, 'Smug Punting', was published in 2015.

His first children's book is out now. 'Three Gruff Goats Meet Some Unexpected Visitors' is based on the mashed up fairytales he used to tell his children at bedtime. Illustrations are by fay Ford, who used to live next door to the author.
