Janet Sumner Johnson

Janet Sumner Johnson lives in Utah with her husband and three kids. She bakes a mean cinnamon twist and eats way more cookies than are good for her, which explains her running habit. Though her full-time occupation as evil tyrant/benevolent dictator (aka Mom) takes most of her time, she sneaks in writing at night when her inner funny bone is fully unleashed.

Janet has been writing for as long as she can remember. In second grade, she was selected as a reporter for her class newspaper. She even got to interview the Superintendent! In third grade, she received her first writing accolades: 3rd place in the school Reflections Contest. As a sophomore in high school, she sent a story idea to Disney, for their next animated movie. Alas, it was rejected. She still has that rejection (and a whole lot more, too). They are a reminder that a rejection is only a stepping stone to the next thing.
