Ken Kelly

Hi, I am Ken Kelly. I got a magic set for my 6th birthday, showed my gran a trick and became instantly hooked. From that very moment I knew I wanted to be a professional magician.

I added “author” to the title “magician” after writing my first book “Abracadabra - Easy Magic Tricks For Kids”. The project was a joint effort between my daughter Kristen and my wife and soul partner Colette. We had a ball.

I wrote the book because I learned my craft from books. Kids looking to learn magic today are tempted to goto a video sharing site and watch trick after trick. The danger with this is the emphasis seems to be on the secret of the trick where in reality doing magic is more about presentation and personality. I wanted to get a book to market where kids who are interested in magic can have a more rounded learning experience. In a way, I wrote Easy Magic Tricks For Kids for my former self. I would have loved to have had this book when I was a lad.

I now live in Cheshire in the UK with Kristen, Colette and Bennie the dog. I continue to entertain with magic and I am privileged to train others in the art of magic.
