Trina M. Laughlin

Trina Laughlin is a Psychotherapist specializing in Trauma. As a national speaker; Adjunct Faculty member at SUNY Buffalo in their Trauma Certificate Program; and Program Director in a Domestic Violence Program, she was professionally prepared to co-author her first book, The Power of Story-A Process of Renewal for Therapists Who Treat Trauma (Whole Person Press 2005; Collins, B. and Laughlin, T.) Then in 2007, subsequent to the tragic and sudden death of her twenty-two year old son, she began sharing a journey through trauma on a much more personal level. Season of the Fallen Sun (Balboa Press - A Division of Hay House 2015) is a mother's journey through grief and despair. Trina believes that degrees of horror are not to be compared; however the feelings, survival and thriving mechanisms created by horror, are clearly identifiable from person to person. She resides and has a Trauma Private Practice in Rochester, New York.
