Darcy Nybo

Darcy Nybo developed a love for writing in Grade 2 and still has her first book of very short stories. She believes her writing has improved somewhat since then.

She is a multiple award-winning short story author and was voted as one of the best writers in her area for three years running. She is a sought-after writing instructor, writing coach, and book editor. If there are words involved, you'll probably find Darcy there.

Darcy writes children's books, short story collections, and novels. She's put many of her children's books in the hands of students through the Raise a Reader Program. She also knows that sometimes you have to break the rules of writing and end a sentence with a preposition so people can live happily ever after.

Her short story compilations are touted as some of the best around, and each contains award-winning stories.

Darcy's first novel, Reluctant Angel, came out to rave reviews. Her recent collection of short stories, Rescue Tails, is slated to become a best-seller, with proceeds going toward dog rescue organizations. She's also working on a four-book crime/drama series with women killers as the main characters. She has a few other novel ideas, but for now, her characters remain locked in a virtual prison until she releases them out into the world.

Darcy currently resides in the Okanagan in British Columbia, where she works full-time as a writing coach, instructor, and book editor.
