Danielle Callegari

Danielle Callegari (Ph.D., New York University) is Assistant Professor of Italian at Dartmouth College. Her research focuses primarily on Italian studies and the history of food and foodways. She has published on the history of food in Italy from the medieval to the modern period, on women and food, and on medieval Italian literature and culture. She is currently completing a monograph entitled "Dante's Gluttons: Food and Society from the Convivio to the Comedy," forthcoming with Amsterdam University Press in 2022.
