New York-born author OWEN LEVY is a Stonewall Survivor and perhaps best known for his seminal first novel A Brother’s Touch, a surprise bestseller still available in print and eBook formats. He is a Fellow of the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos, New Mexico, and the Edwin MacDowell Colony in Peterborough, New Hampshire, where the Lila and DeWitt Wallace Reader's Digest Foundation endowed his residency. Born in Harlem and raised in the Fort Greene neighborhood of Brooklyn, he attended New York City public schools and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Hunter College.

After a prolific career in entertainment and corporate public relations, starting in the mid 1980's, Mr. Levy began extended sojourns in Berlin, West Germany where he covered the film and music scene for such trade publications as Variety and Billboard. He was also a contributing editor to the annual Berlin International Film Festival daily magazine as well as documentations author for the European Film Academy Master Classes in film making.

He produced and hosted Berlin's first bilingual cable talk show Liebes Gefluster (“Sweet Talk”). Wrote, edited and directed a documentary about expatriate African American entertainers living in Germany, “Haven Dwellers”. Co-produced and host of DJ driven House and Techno music parties in Berlin’s thriving club scene. His fiction, reviews, articles and interviews have appeared in numerous publications. In 2009 he was invited by Gay Pride Toronto as Honorary Guest joining the Grand Marshall leading marchers in the annual parade though the city.
