Dear Chris, (William)

I received earlier this week a copy of your recently released reference entitled, Third Reich Collectibles, Identification and Price Guide, printed by Krause Publications. Looking through your publication, my first conclusion is that every serious and even not so serious, German World War II militaria collector needs a copy of this title on his personal bookshelf. In a nutshell, here are 240 pages of invaluable knowledge condensed into one easy to use paperback reference. Pictured in rich color are, literally, hundreds of razor sharp photographs with the suggested values on the current collectible market.

In the very early days of collecting in the late 1940's - 1950's, each one of these individual artifacts would have required a diligent search by the collector to ferret out an approximate value. I know, Chris, as I began collecting German edged weaponry as early as 1959. In that time frame there was a complete void in reference publications and materials. Now in a single publication you have armed the current militaria collector with an explicit encyclopedia of knowledge in both the identification and evaluating each item in his or her collection. A job very well done by both yourself and John Graf at the very popular "Military Trader" magazine! My sincere congratulations!
