Maureen Kibler

Maureen Kibler is a first time author who enjoys writing from her home in Belgrade Lakes, Maine where she finds inspiration in the woods surrounding her house, and the family and friends sharing her life.

Her professional career taught her the value of in-depth research. Her early retirement left her with the time to put those skills toward something she’s always loved, bringing fictional life to the times in history she lived through. When she’s not doing that, you can find her either cooking, reading, researching or enjoying the company of friends and family who describe her as authentic, but a little bit quirky, with an engaging sense of humor. She describes herself as a barefoot writer, enjoying the freedom of summer, but preferring to tough it out in the winter as opposed to leaving the keyboard to put on socks.

As The Elms Leave makes its debut, Maureen is working on her next novel that she promises to be every bit as entertaining as the first.
