James Macaluso

P. James Macaluso Jr. is an ESL (English as a second language) teacher and a scientific proofreader and editor, who loves to design and build custom LEGO(r) models. He is the creator of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes Re-Imagined book series by MX Publishing. He currently lives in Reading, England with his wonderful wife and faithful dog.

James has been an avid fan of Sherlock Holmes for the last 20 years, since reading for the first time the stories about the celebrated detective written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. For him, an integral part of these adventures are the black-and-white drawings by Sidney Paget that accompanied their original publication in The Strand Magazine. Given the hours of enjoyment he has derived from these illustrated tales, he wanted to contribute, in some small way, to the enduring legacy of the great detective. Thus, he decided to combine two of his interests, namely Sherlock Holmes fiction and building custom designed LEGO(r) models. His book series, which reproduces Paget’s illustrations rendered in LEGO(r), is the result.
