J.E. Bean is twelve years old and wrote her book Intellectual when she was eleven. J.E. Bean got her pen name from her nickname "Jellybean." J.E. is a huge fan of thriller novels like Hunger Games and Divergent, so she decided to write her own adventure novel. While writing the book, J.E. said it was like reading a book at the same time, and she couldn't wait to see what would happen next. The book is very mature given the author's age and targeted generally to the 12 and up audience. While J.E. spends plenty of time hanging with her friends, playing sports and music, and on social media, J.E. wants to inspire other tweens and teens to still READ and WRITE and make their own statement!
