Dr. Supratic Gupta

Mother expired before reaching 1 year of age. Brought up in an extremely religious joint family. Even though parents suffered due to migration from Bangladesh, author’s childhood was in abundance as the family was in construction business. The motherless child was sent to Ramkrishna Mission Deoghar, where Vivekanada, Budha and Ramkrishna's story strongly built his character.

2 years of class Xl and Xllth in Hindi High School Calcutta, where he scrores JEE 326 rank for llT. Still he choose Civil Engineering in llT Madras. Masters and PhD from Nagoya University, Japan. 7 years of teaching experience in Japan and 12 years in India. Assistant Professor at llT Delhi. Has written over 50 papers in international and national journals and conferences. Specialization: Concrete technology, Bridge design, etc. (Utilization of marble and granite powder, fly ash in concrete).

Has one son who was born in Japan. Here, his son attended a special day care facility called Hoikuen. Later his son was drawn into the circle of professional swimming. These wide range of experiences were summarized in the book “You Must be Kidding Dr. Supratic Gupta” and plans to start activities to implement the concepts presented in the book.
