Roger McManus

Roger McManus was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has called Vermont and Tennessee his home as well. Nearly coming full circle, he now resides with his wife and son in upstate New York amid the black walnuts, pines, and oaks ... and horse chestnuts. A guitarist and songwriter at heart for many years, he was encouraged to expand his horizon and put his hand and imagination to work writing books. Nog: A Christmas Muse, his first novel, found its birth on the side of a road, jotted down on several creased and crumpled store receipts. Roger believes you write where you can get it, and is no stranger to jumping out of bed at any hour of the night, stubbing his toe and hopefully not stepping on a mouse, and reaching in the dark for a pad and pen, without poking someone in the eye (which would suggest a thief has broken in), to alleviate the concussion from an idea that has just laid a two by four on him. He is also not unacquainted to staring at a blank monitor until his butt hurts while grovelling for the right words to write ... but ... jogging in place usually wages the war on that.
