Amy Johnson Crow is a nationally-recognized genealogy educator. She regularly presents at the field's top events, including RootsTech. She has been featured on Ancestry Academy, Family Tree University, and Legacy Family Tree Webinars.
Amy is a Certified Genealogist and also holds a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. She has combined her training to offer people practical, actionable advice for discovering their family history.
Amy has been doing genealogy since the early 1990s and has been involved with several genealogy organizations, including serving on the boards of the Ohio Genealogical Society and the National Genealogical Society. She has also served as the series editor of the NGS Research Guides (published by Rutledge Hill Press), the editor of the Ohio Civil War Genealogy Journal, and as chair of First Families of Ohio.
In 2012, she was named a Fellow of the Ohio Genealogical Society, recognizing lifetime valuable service to the society and to the field of genealogy. She has also been recognized with an Award of Merit from the Federation of Genealogical Societies for her work on the Civil War Soldiers and Sailors program.
