Mary Griffith Chalupsky was born at West Frankfort, IL. She presently lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with her little dog Buttons.
Mary began writing poetry many years ago, winning awards through the World of Poetry Association, beginning in 1987 when she won the Golden Poet Award and the Award of Merit. The Silver Poet Award followed in 1990 and the Editor Choice Awards in 2005, 2006, and 2007. She has written and published 13 Children's Rhyming Picture books called, "Jogger's Adventures," about a piglet and his animal friends. She also wrote "The Littlest Puppy," a book about the life and shenanigans of her little Bichon puppy, "Jimmy's Adventures," an Anthology of 20 short stories about a 12 year old boy and his friend, and a book on bullying, "The Big, Bad, Sad, Mad Meany."
Mary worked in the medical field and owned and operated Medical Claims Billing.
She is a member of the DAR and the Mayflower Society.
Mary worked as a freelancer for Eastern Iowa Online Newspaper, the Arkansas Pacesetting Times, and God Makes Lemonade series. She enjoys writing children's rhyming books and poetry, rocking in her swing on her front porch, and having coffee with her friends.
