Phyllis Horner, PhD, is an organizational psychologist and workplace thought leader who serves clients in the United States and Canada. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, her specialty is helping professionals and companies succeed in the new world of work. In today's world, two of every three people are somewhat or very disengaged at work. Phyllis designs tools to help each individual find their ideal work environment, without having to settle or conform to "misery-makers".
As an author, expert and researcher, she holds many certifications for psychological assessments and techniques. She began writing books as a way to reach more people and help them find their own recipe for workplace joy. Having spent half her career as an employee and the other half owning her own business, she knows the highs and lows of working for companies large and small. Now, she and her partner write for corporate leaders also, to help them lead effectively in the era of the employee experience.
