Needless to say, Barry is a member of an endangered species that does not exist.

Home schooling through age 16

Higher Education: If you consider how resourceful he was during the four years he prowled the grounds of Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, Barry merits a four year degree. He found texts in dumpsters; collected discarded magazines, newspapers, term papers, documents and doctoral studies; audited classes (especially evening classes) from up in the trees; evesdropped on dorms; poked around labs and buildings at night and tracked study groups in the field. He majored in philosophy with minors in physics and history.
