Alexander Kern's journey as a wordsmith began in the Midwestern states where he grew up before eventually making his way West to pursue his college education.
After completing his A.A. at Seattle Central, unforeseen circumstances abruptly ended his pursuit of higher education. Frustrated, but undeterred by this setback, he decided to follow in the footsteps of the great observational humorist and lovable curmudgeon Harvey Pekar, working in the field of Records Management by day while pursuing his literary ambitions by night.
In addition to two books, he has previously written for multiple websites including Listen! Listen, Listen, Listen, Listen, Listen!!!, Feel Like Making Shrub, and Tiny Mix Tapes.
Kern currently lives and writes in his adopted home of Seattle, Washington with his very patient wife Sarah.
