Photographer and railway author living in York, UK. His books 'The Final Years of London Midland Region Steam' and 'British Industrial Steam Locomotives' are published by Pen & Sword Publications, while 'Exploring the Lake District with the Furness Railway Tours' has a foreword by Eric Robson, broadcaster and Chairman of the Wainwright Society. 'The Railways of York' was shortlisted for the Ian Allan 'Railway Book of the Year' award and Ian Allan himself wrote the foreword for his first book, 'Running out of Steam'. Another recent commission is 'A Guide to the Wensleydale Railway', which describes the ambitious project in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales which aims ultimately to link Northallerton on the East Coast Main Line with Garsdale on the Settle & Carlisle, by way of the stunning Aysgarth Falls. A recent publication, 'Railway Centre York' is available from May 2022. A tribute to the InterCity 125s entitled 'HSTs to the North of England' has just been published as has 'The English Electric Class 37, from Design to Demise', followed by 'The English Electric Class 55 Deltics, flagships of the East Coast Main Line' and then 'The British Rail Class 91 Electric Locomotives and the InterCity 225s'.
