CJ Samuels

CJ Samuels was born and raised in rural Ohio. She spent a few years in Wisconsin and is now settled in South Carolina. The low country is her home. After more than thirty years working in service at an auto dealership, she picked up the proverbial pen and began writing, thanks to a lot of encouragement from her family and friends.

CJ always has a pot of coffee on, and a welcoming chair, for anyone who needs to talk. CJ was the daughter of a local preacher and had three kids of her own. From attorney, to finished construction builder, to a Marine – CJ’s children and grandchildren are her pride and joy. Her husband supports her efforts 100 percent.

CJ is a born and bred Buckeye fan. She has a rescue dog named Diesel. He loves snacks. He also snores and hogs the bed.

CJ is also known globally as "The Chalkboard Lady". She and her husband put a chalkboard sign in their yard at the beginning of the pandemic with inspirational and funny quotes to spread some cheer during these trying days.
