David Rough

David Rough has two masters degrees: one in biblical hermeneutics and other in educational administration. He also has an earned doctorate in organizational leadership. His initial book, however, comes from a life-changing experience of thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. "Hike It Forward" recounts his 152-day journey of 2, 185 miles over 14 states.

Dr. Rough has also published the first five in a series of Children's book: The Adventures of Princess Polly and Sir William the Brave. The first book is entitled "Above the Trees," and the second is "The Red Rocks." "The Monkey King", "The Rope of Honesty", and "The Locust Storm" are also available. The last book is being completed.

David has published a book on spiritual warfare, "We Are All Warriors," that examines some of the principles of scripture that give insight into the spiritual battles we face every day as a Christ-follower.

Dr. Rough has over thirty years on his resume as an educator: teacher, principal, and superintendent. He is a gifted speaker that loves to share about his adventures, his faith, and the journeys of life.

Family is an important priority for this author. David has been married to his incredible wife, Cathy, for over forty years and together they have four adult children and eleven grandchildren.
