Hope Hatton was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA, where she acquired a BA in Special Education from William Paterson University, with a minor in Psychology. She has taught remedial reading and math as a substitute teacher, a private tutor, and a volunteer at Boys and Girls Clubs. Her passion for the outdoors led her to seek out adventures in hiking, mountain climbing, and scuba diving. Later in life she relocated to Hawaii, where she began a career in real estate. She continues to explore her love for animals, the outdoors and the ocean as an artist, through painting, and by writing/ illustrating children's books. Her goal as an artist is to try to rekindle and revitalize the spirit and love of the family unit, on a local and global level, by helping children visualize that we are all brothers and sisters on this large and wondrous planet.
