E.M. Davey is a 36-year-old investigative reporter at Global Witness. He specialises in undercover journalism to expose international corruption and environmental crime. Before that he was at the BBC for a number of years, where he worked on investigations for programmes such as Panorama and Newsnight. His thrillers mash up history, 21st century espionage and meticulous research, blurring the lines between reality and fiction. He has taught creative writing with the Wilbur & Niso Smith foundation and travelled almost 60 countries. He once got charged by an enraged hippopotamus and had to climb a tree to escape.
