Susan Hamilton

West Tennessee native Susan Evans grew up with a passion for music, mastering multiple instruments at an early age. Her life took an international turn in 1985 when she met Australian bassist Alan Riley during his American tour. Moving across the globe, she married Alan in 1986, creating a home above their Sydney business, The Bass Shop, and welcoming their daughter, Alana, in 1994.

Alongside family life, Susan pursued rigorous academics, earning a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Sydney in 2000. After Alan's sudden passing in 2004, she returned to her Tennessee roots and married Dean Hamilton in 2009.
