I started writing at a meditation retreat in 2009, where engaging in some creative activity was encouraged. To my surprise, three novels and many stories have appeared since then. I published my first novel in December of 2015 at the age of 72!

We’ve lived in Seattle forty-eight years, having moved here shortly after we married. We have pears, raspberries, blueberries and grapes in addition to the usual flora of an urban lot. My husband is a marine surveyor; when he’s not surveying, he tends the house and garden and makes grape juice and wine. I make a lot of jam. We’re lucky to have our two sons living in Seattle with their families–they eat up a lot of jam. We’ve traveled in Romania, France, Ireland, Greece and Scotland. And we’ve been active in supporting Waldorf Education. My degrees are in International Relations, received from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and the University of Denver.

In addition to writing, I read a lot, meditate, row and don't dance nearly enough.
