Arthur Mason

Arthur Mason is Associate Professor of Social Anthropology at NTNU, with research affiliations at the London School of Economics, SOAS University of London, and the University of St Andrews. His research examines contemporary energy worlds through the concepts of neo-aristocracy and an anthropology of surfaces, exploring expertise as modes of presentation, judgment, and style. He is the author of "Heritage and Arctic Late Industrialism in Alaska: Island of Inland Empire" and the "Inside the Energy Salon" trilogy, which traces the circulation and performance of expertise in late-liberal governance.
