Doyle O. Welborn

I approach life with a strategic mind and a creative spirit, always seeking meaningful ways to express my faith and vision. My interests and skills are many and varied. My journey has been shaped by a deep desire to create new things to express my thoughts—whether through music, visual art, or the written word. I use AI as a tool of inspiration and innovation, crafting art and music that reflects my spiritual convictions and designing artwork that finds life on canvas, clothing, and a wide array of surfaces. These projects are more than creative outlets; they’re extensions of my belief that faith and imagination must walk hand in hand.

I’ve authored several books that reflect both my professional expertise and artistic inclinations. “Making an Impact: Substance Abuse Treatment from a Christian Perspective” speaks to my commitment to healing and transformation, while my adult coloring books “Butterflies and Flowers One and Two” et al, offer a meditative space for creativity through adult coloring. Each work is rooted in a desire to uplift, inform, and inspire.

Currently, I have a Master of Science degree in Psychology and I currently serve as a Substance Abuse Counselor and Supervisor with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, where I help individuals navigate the path through recovery. My work is grounded in compassion and guided by Christian principles, offering hope where it’s needed most.

I was born in Southeast Texas near the Big Thicket National Preserve, a place that continues to shape my sense of wonder and connection to nature. Hiking through the thickets with my wife and son, camera in hand, I find peace and adventure. We’re also on a lighthearted mission to find Bigfoot—because every good story needs a little mystery. I’ve heard many stories from family, friends, and others who have witnessed the beast of Boggy Creek. If we ever spot him, I’ll have the perfect subject for my next book (or image for my next print).

Whether through counseling, artistic endeavors, or exploration, I strive to live a life that reflects purpose, faith, and curiosity. My story is still unfolding, and I’m grateful for every chapter.
