Buck Buchanan

Buck Buchanan, a storyteller who draws readers into his world through five compelling books. His latest, and first novel, Smoke Over The Square, is about Marietta during the Civil War. His fourth book, Where’s Rick?, is about a Vietnam Vet who returns from the war only to go missing ten months later. It’s a gripping story with a shocking outcome.

The third book Behind the Walls, tells the story of an evolving industry that started from scratch to become over a three-billion-dollar industry. The research for the book included talking to over a hundred people who were connected with the industry. It’s a fascinating story about the people who built the industry.

Buck’s second book, The Game of Sales, is a business book based on his experience as a sales manager. It delves deeply into the business-to-business environment of sales reps and sales management. His first book was released in the fall of 2015. First and Thirty is centered on a high school football team in the south during the 1970 season and how they dealt with the challenges of the time.

In addition to writing, Buck is a speaker and a business consultant. Carlton “Buck” Buchanan was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a BS Degree in Business Administration. After graduation, he moved to Atlanta and began a business career that spans 40 years including ten years in California. He now lives in Marietta, GA.

In his personal life, Buck has served as a deacon and elder in the Presbyterian Church and is an active member of Rotary International. He enjoys sports and traveling. Buck is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have three children and five grandchildren.
