S.E. Valenti graduated from Oakland University with a Masters degree in Nursing in 1997 and a post masters from University of Michigan in 1999 as a Nurse Practitioner. Having worked in healthcare since 1987, Valenti started a second career, that of author, in 2016. Her first full length novel, "Deliver Us from Evil" came from her many travels to Sicily with her husband. Her wealth of experience obtained as an NP has served this author well by enriching her life and adding to her life experiences from which she has drawn upon to write.
In 1995, Valenti traveled to Tanzania Africa to teach nursing faculty the latest treatments for HIV/AIDS. In 1908, Oakland University awarded Valenti their Odyssey Award for her work on the President's Advisory Committee for HIV/AIDS (Washington, D.C.) during the Bush Administration. She has authored several articles related to HIV/AIDS in prominent HIV journals as well. Her first novel, Deliver Us From Honor, debuted in October, 2016 and now her second novel in the series, "ATONEMENT" has just debuted, April 24, 2019! Her love of Sicily has generated two fictional novels based on the beauty, love, and loyalty of family in 1911 Sicily followed by the family's immigration to America in her second book, ATONEMENT".
Both novels provide insight into overcoming adversity and how the power of love and family is a strong ally in perilous times! Lessons learned from both novels are just as applicable today as they were in 1911!
