As a professional geologist, I'm still hunting diamonds...which is what I've done for nearly forty years. The places in the fact-based books are all real as are the characters - although names may have been changed - who are individuals I've encountered in the unusual and often slightly odd places I've worked. The books aren't strictly memoirs or autobiographies but rather a collection of personal anecdotes, altered and reworked over the years and grouped into chapter-based themes.

The children's book came about because I, allegedly, forgot to finish a bed-time story some 22 years ago and my (now adult) children kept on asking 'What happened next?' This should answer that particular query.
